Set root password in XAMPP’s phpMyAdmin

I needed to set root password for my mysql. I started XAMPP /opt/xampp/xampp start I browsed to http://myhost/phpmyadmin In the phpMyAdmin window, I selected SQL tab from the right panel. This opened the SQL tab where I can run the SQL queries.

Enable root login in Sun Solaris 10 via ssh

Navigate to /etc/ssh/ find ‘ sshd_config ‘. Open it (via gedit). Find ‘ PermitRootLogin no ‘ replace it with ‘ PermitRootLogin yes ’. Thanks to Simon Sun.
